A graduate of Georgia State University with a master’s degree in Music Education, Mrs. Fallis has been teaching at Hopewell Middle School since its opening in 2004. Her teaching experience has ranged from elementary through high school, but she enjoys teaching middle school most of all. She was selected as Hopewell’s Teacher of the Year for the 2009-2010 school year.
Mrs. Fallis performed with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus and Chamber Chorus for over ten years, including two solo roles, and participated in numerous Grammy-winning recordings and performances of choral masterworks under the direction of the late Robert Shaw. She has also been a presenter and panelist at the Southern division of Music Educators National Conference. She is a member of various professional organizations, including Georgia Music Educators Association, Music Educators National Conference, and American Choral Directors Association. In addition, she was the Director of Music Ministries at North Springs United Methodist Church for the last twenty-two years and is currently serving as the Director of Music at Johns Creek Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Fallis is happily married and the mother of three sons. When not working, Mrs. Fallis enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and reading.
